Ivanka Fear was born in Slovenia and now resides in midwestern Ontario, Canada. She holds a B.A. and B.Ed., majoring in English and French literature, from Western University. She writes literary and genre poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. Her genre fiction includes horror, sci-fi, mystery, suspense, and humour. Ivanka is the author of a series of five fun mystery novels featuring an amateur female sleuth with a shady past, as well as a domestic suspense novel. She is represented by Cindy Bullard of Birch Literary. Her debut mystery novel is scheduled to be released in January 2023 by Level Best Books. Prior to pursuing writing full time, she enjoyed a long career as an elementary teacher. Currently, she works as a part time postal clerk and is the owner of a baby boutique. She enjoys spending time with her family and her cats. When not reading and writing, she enjoys viewing mystery series and romance movies, gardening, going for walks, and watching the waves roll in at the lake while sinking her feet into the silky sand.
